Vietnam two

the vietnamese people are some of the most beautiful i have ever seen. the kids are all so cute and have the most amazing little personalities. im averaging about thirty high fives a day. this country has caused all my senses to peak in ways i didn't dream possible, so many things to see all at once.

towels in hostels are about the size of a monopoly board and possess the texture of 30 grit industrial sand paper. also for all of you who lay in bed contemplating brushing your teeth without water, let me save you some sleep. don't.

drank some snake wine with the locals last night in the alley outside my hostel (literally a bottle of liquor with a curled up snake in it). "cheap money" is definitely the first term that is taught in english classes over here. went out to the mekong delta today to mingle with the country folk. played with pythons, bee traps, and drank enough kumquat tea to flood your garage. little kids were charging me left and right to touch my hair. i felt like a banana at a monkey convention.

i met some amazing people on the bus and found myself in a top notch conversation at lunch with an israeli, two aussies, and a man from zimbabwe. politics, religon, fantasy football, travels, many topics explored and insight was collected that i will never forget. being exactly twelve hours ahead of most of you, i sincerely wish i could provide you with some valuable insight on the day ahead of you. it is just hard to know exactly how, i will say that if you handle a python today you will not get bit and if you find yourself in a bee hive you will not get stung. good luck with everything else.

headed out of saigon tomorrow for phu quoc island, a small beach resort off the west coast of vietnam. i will blog if i can.
